The role

Job Title: Group Travel Sales Executive Location: Dudley, West Midlands

Hours: Part‑time: Monday – Friday, between 9:30am – 2:30pm

Contract: Fixed‑term for the duration of 6 months, with a possibility of extension depending on business needs.

Black Country Living Museum is seeking a Group Travel Sales Executive to join our Cultural Enterprises Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our award‑winning museum and play a key role in growing our group travel offer both nationally and internationally.

This is a dynamic, hands‑on role where you will generate, manage, and convert group travel enquiries into confirmed bookings. You’ll do this by building relationships through a consultative, service‑led approach, creating bespoke packages and memorable visitor experiences.

If you have experience in sales or business development, we would love to hear from you.

What will you be doing?

  • Delivering outstanding customer service to national and international group travel clients by creating and selling bespoke itineraries.
  • Managing the full group travel journey, ensuring a seamless experience from initial enquiry through to arrival.
  • Driving visitor numbers and revenue by converting enquiries into bookings and identifying opportunities to upsell.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with coach operators, travel agencies, tour organisers, and tourism partners.
  • Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities to grow our group travel offering.
  • Collaborating with teams across the Museum to deliver exceptional visitor experiences.
  • Maintaining accurate booking records and sales data to support performance and growth.
  • Gathering and acting on customer feedback to continuously enhance our group travel offer.
  • Supporting the development and promotion of new group products, experiences, and packages.
  • Representing the Museum at trade shows, networking events, familiarisation visits, and industry events, promoting our unique offer to new and existing audiences.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in sales or business development, ideally within tourism or hospitality.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and converting leads into business.
  • Excellent customer service skills, particularly via telephone and email communication.
  • Confident IT skills, with the ability to use booking or ticketing systems.
  • A positive, proactive, and solution‑focused approach to work.

What can you expect?

  • Opportunity to learn new skills.
  • Positive attitude to work‑life balance.
