Job Title: Head of Adult Social Care
Contract Length: 3-month initial interim contract

Baltimore Consulting are working with a South-East of England based Local Authority in their search for an experience adult social care professional to lead both operationally and strategically their access front door and complex needs services.

Your duties for this position:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Adults, you will lead the directorates access front door and complex need’s function, providing effective leadership to those you are managing, whilst contributing to senior strategic development and improvement.
You will lead a team of junior managers, project managers and analysts in the effective running of the service, providing SME advice and support whilst championing best practice.
You will provide professional leadership in operational areas; scrutiny of practice and maintenance of high operational standards.
You will effectively work with various internal and external stakeholders to drive the directorates strategic agendas, whilst also working with colleagues on areas of improvement.
Experience needed for this role:
The successful candidate will come from an established local government adult social care background, having experience of leading social care teams at Head of Service level.
Be a Qualified Professional, ideally as a Qualified Social Worker, Nurse or Occupational Therapist.
Have experience of working in partnership to assess and support complex needs.
Be a strong communicator with an understanding of other public sector organisations cultures, structures and policies.
