We have extensive experience in offshore and onshore facilities, specialising in asset management services throughout all life cycle phases from consulting, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning. The workforce of over 4,500 employees operates from 14 offices, upholding safety, compliance and quality standards.


The Role

The Quality Advisor will be responsible for providing quality support to projects, including quality assurance, quality control, and audit processes, while supporting day-to-day operations regarding quality awareness and document control/system resources required to provide effective project support. You will ensure that quality systems are established and managed across projects and communicated to stakeholders, proactively promoting a “right first time” methodology to reduce non-conformances. You will collaborate with the HSE team to deliver safety awareness at site level and apply quality techniques to non-conformances to prevent reoccurrences across projects and the wider business.


Key Activities

* Provide quality-related advice and guidance to the project
* Utilise internal reporting systems to capture quality data (audit findings, non-conformities, observations, improvement opportunities)
* Conduct internal & external audits in line with the project audit programme and report outcomes
* Prepare and review Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and supporting QA documentation
* Coordinate with Project Quality Control inspectors to ensure Hold Points/Witness Points are met
* Validate implementation and effectiveness of project corrective actions from audits or NCs
* Promote a Right First Time approach to quality and safety
* Monitor quality performance against KPIs
* Oversee quality operations to ensure documentation and specifications are adhered to
* Ensure subcontractors/suppliers conform to requirements
* Liaise with relevant stakeholders on quality requirements and documentation
* Implement quality activities at various sites
* Read, understand and implement project contractual quality requirements
* Attend project-related meetings
* Coordinate with procurement on quality at tendering stages
* Ensure work Instructions and procedures are meaningful, compliant, and useful
* Engage with Client QA departments to ensure transparency and communication
* Promote continuous improvement
* Any other process requiring relevant Quality input


Experience & Qualifications

* Good Engineering and QA/QC background
* CQI Membership or working towards accreditation – Essential
* Recognised and current Internal Auditor qualification – Essential
* Ability to deliver internal audits of management systems and communicate outcomes
* Experience developing QA documentation (Quality Plans, ITPs) and reviewing supplier QA
* Knowledge and experience of Quality Management Systems in regulated environments (construction, petrochemical, aerospace, etc.)
* Strong problem solving and corrective action skills with appropriate tools and techniques
* Knowledge of KPIs and performance monitoring
* Ability to interpret ISO Management System Standards, technical drawings and specifications (desirable)
* Computer literacy; Microsoft Office skills – Essential
* Good communication and report writing skills
* Knowledge of ISO 45001 & 14001
* +5 years’ experience in a highly regulated industry (petrochemical/Oil & Gas/Aviation/Construction)
* Experience/qualification in one or more special processes: NDT, heat treatment, surface treatment, dimensional verification (advantageous)
* Pipework, steelwork and insulation knowledge – Desirable
* Familiarity with API, ASME, ASTM, ISO (PED, etc.) standards – advantageous
* Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure; strong attention to detail
* Full clean driving licence; willingness to travel to multiple sites
