Looking for short-term forklift work with excellent pay and steady hours? This is a great opportunity to join a well-established logistics operation in Southampton as a Counterbalance Forklift Driver. You’ll play an important part in keeping goods moving smoothly through the warehouse during the night shift.
This role is temporary for 4–6 weeks, making it a perfect fit if you’re looking to earn strong hourly pay, work regular hours, and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, professional environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Operating a Counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently throughout the night
* Loading and unloading deliveries and containers, often using ramps and dock areas
* Moving goods and materials within the warehouse to the right locations
* Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company and customer standards
* Accurately reviewing and processing delivery paperwork
* Supporting smooth night-time operations by working closely with colleagues and supervisors
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse and yard environment
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven Counterbalance forklift experience, ideally within a busy warehouse or logistics setting
* Valid Counterbalance FLT certificate (in-house or external accepted)
* Comfortable with physical, hands-on work and being on your feet for long shifts
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even when working at pace
* Safety-conscious and reliable, with the ability to follow instructions and processes
* A positive, team-focused approach to help keep operations running efficiently overnight
What You’ll Get:
* Excellent pay: £15.50 per hour, paid weekly
* Guaranteed hours: Monday to Friday, 18:00 – 04:30 (48 hours per week)
* Short-term opportunity: 4–6-week temporary contract
