We are looking for an experienced and highly analytical Deputy Director, Asset Management to join our global hospitality real estate portfolio team. In this pivotal role, you will act as a capital steward responsible for the strategic and operational performance of assigned assets. You will lead on asset planning, annual budgeting, business plan reviews, Asset Enhancement Initiatives (AEIs), and valuation processes - working closely with property teams to maximise profitability and long term value. You are also involved in sourcing, responsible for evaluating and executing investments transactions. You will also be responsible to conduct feasibility studies on potential opportunities and make recommendations to senior management relating to investment or divestment or enhancement opportunities.

This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep hospitality or real estate expertise and a passion for driving operational excellence across a diverse asset portfolio.

What you’ll be doing as Director of Asset Management & Investment:

Asset Management:

1. Develop tailored strategies for assigned assets in partnership with property teams and team leads to optimise profitability and cash flow.
2. Lead monthly owner’s meetings with property management teams.
3. Identify value creation opportunities and prepare actionable implementation plans.
4. Review monthly management reports, financial statements, and performance data.
5. Identify, assess, and manage AEIs, including ROI analysis, consultant selection, internal approval submissions, and project oversight to ensure timely and on budget delivery.
6. Review and analyse Annual Operating & CapEx Budgets and prepare submissions for approval.
7. Lead the annual valuation exercise, including managing RFPs and valuation processes.
8. Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting covering asset performance, market trends, and major CapEx updates.
9. Liaise with auditors and external advisors on asset related matters.
10. Prepare approval papers for major AEIs, budgets, and strategic decisions.
11. Support or lead additional projects as required.

Investment Management:

12. Involved in origination, evaluation, negotiation and execution of investment and/or divestment transactions.
13. On-going investment management of real estate portfolio in terms of forecasting market conditions and monitoring impact on financial returns.
14. Work with professionals and consultants to review and implement holding structures that are cost and tax efficient to maintain and allow for income expatriation, asset divestments and capital up-streaming in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
15. Keep up to date on developments in the industry and have a good understanding on all aspects of hospitality business
16. Work with legal, financial and other consultants on fund raising and other capital market projects from time to time.

What we're looking for:

17. Extensive experience in the real estate side of the hotel and/or serviced apartment industry, with an in-depth knowledge of the EMEA region.
18. Degree in Real Estate or Hospitality; advanced qualifications such as MBA or CFA are highly advantageous.
19. Proven experience in Asset Management or Hospitality asset related roles.
20. Experience conducting feasibility studies and ROCE analyses.
21. Proficient with market and industry research in hospitality.
22. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
23. Structured, methodical, and capable of delivering concise, high quality papers and presentations.
24. Strong team player with excellent stakeholder management abilities.
25. Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
26. Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office.
