About the Role

The primary responsibility of the MPM is to manage and oversee all aspects of the supply chain from a program perspective. The MPM defines program material strategy for the Business Area and influences across the business to ensure programs succeed in bid and execution phases. The MPM is the prime internal interface regarding status and performance of the supply chain on programs, anticipates and fulfills customer needs, and delivers innovative supply‑chain solutions to facilitate program cost and schedule performance.


Responsibilities

* Liaising with peers from other disciplines and the Functional Senior Leadership Team.
* Serving as liaison between Supply Chain, the program IPT, and other primary stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
* Creating, managing and executing material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP).
* Providing comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0‑11 activities and ensuring IPDP compliance.
* Financial management (EV, budgets, targets, working capital, material forecasts, etc.).
* Overall ownership of the supplier management process, supplier risk/opportunity management, performance metrics, etc.
* Communicating customer flow‑through requirements such as DEFCON, FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
* Acting as the Control Account Manager (CAM) when required.
* Identifying and securing Supply Chain resources for the capture plan and managing proposal pipeline.
* Ensuring alignment of strategies with market conditions, Raytheon requirements, goals and growth plans.
* Partnering with stakeholders on affordability, manufacturability and producibility.
* Setting and managing Supply Chain material and Labour budgets, reporting ETC and EAC.
* Forecasting sales and cash payables.
* Engaging with Buyers and Commodity Managers on supplier bid and selection criteria.
* Executing customer requirements, government regulations, public law and Raytheon policies and procedures.
* Promoting the function’s contributions to corporate objectives across the organization.
* Advancing sustainable and responsible procurement, including social, cultural and diversity values.
* Evaluating challenges faced by the program and taking action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.
* Producing business cases and briefing materials for management reviews.


Skills & Experience – Essential

* Experience in Supply Chain, Subcontract Management, Procurement, Commodity and/or related field.
* Related degree, MCIPS, BA, MBA or equivalent.
* Flexible and positive attitude.
* Ability to lead or perform effectively in a multi‑functional team.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to brief at mid‑management level.
* Knowledge of import/export legislation and logistical requirements.
* Experience of program management skills (IPDS, Risk Management, Programme Gating, Metrics, SOW Development, Business Finance).
* Experience in medium/high complexity proposal and program governance activities.
* Administration of delivery/acceptance/invoicing of goods and services.
* Experience negotiating low/medium complexity non‑standard agreements.
* Experience in problem solving and dispute resolution at mid‑management level.
* Knowledge of MRP, SAP and purchase order placement/material receipt processes.
* Experience working with complex international suppliers/programs.


Skills & Experience – Desirable

* Experience managing a team.
* Ability to manage a medium‑sized team focused on policy and strategy implementation.
* Experience in developing operational plans that generate processes and standards.
* Experience as Control Account Manager.
* Experience in selecting teammates and forming teaming agreements.
* Experience in developing and managing Subcontractor Relationship Management and collaborative working.
* 6‑Sigma process improvement skillset.
