Job Purpose:
This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations within a specified region. The role involves maintaining electrical, mechanical, and building assets within ASDA stores efficiently and in compliance with health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Represent the company professionally and develop good relationships with colleagues.
2. Complete all necessary PPMs and ensure all remedial tasks are logged and actioned, ensuring legal compliance.
3. Supervise and support the Maintenance Assistant, providing coaching and ensuring role compliance.
4. Respond promptly to service requests, assess requirements, and carry out repairs.
5. Prioritize work to meet timescales and SLA targets.
6. Communicate with store management about issues affecting store operations.
7. Conduct surveys, complete reports, and carry out alterations and installations as qualified.
8. Assist other MSTs when needed and recruit qualified Maintenance Assistants.
9. Maintain accurate records and attend training to keep skills updated.
10. Participate in Out of Hours standby rota and perform repairs during these times.
11. Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and complete all necessary documentation.
12. Provide coaching and support to team members, participate in training, and manage team administration.
13. Work flexibly, including at heights and with minimal supervision.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Essential: C&G 2382 (18th edition), Level 3 core Electrical qualification (e.g., C&G 2330, 2365), valid driver’s license.
* Desirable: Electrical certification, City & Guilds 2391, relevant industry experience.
* Knowledge of 3-phase electrics, mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance, and general building experience.
* Strong communication, team support, customer focus, and self-motivation skills.
Additional Requirements:
* Ability to work at heights and with minimal supervision.
* Flexible working hours.
