Management Accountant Stockton Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting a growing and dynamic manufacturing organisation in their search for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity, reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, where you'll take full ownership of monthly financial reporting and play a pivotal role in stock valuation and wider finance operations. What you'll be doing This is a varied and autonomous role, where flexibility, adaptability and attention to detail are key. Your responsibilities will include: Full ownership of monthly management accounts - P&L and Balance Sheet Coordinating and executing month-end stock counts (including early starts) Stock valuation (scanned and manually counted) and cost updates Monthly stock movement reconciliation Preparing and posting journals - accruals, prepayments, materials etc. Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining supporting schedules Month-end variance analysis Fixed asset register management and depreciation journals Supplier statement reconciliations and credit card expense processing Weekly payroll and agency hour reconciliations and reporting Sales reconciliation and scrap valuation VAT reporting Supporting the wider finance function with ad-hoc projects and tasks Occasional general admin support (calls, visitor sign-in, document handling) What we're looking for We're seeking a proactive and results-driven individual with a positive 'can-do' attitude, who can work both independently and as part of a wider team. Qualifications: Minimum AAT qualified or CIMA part-qualified with relevant industry experience (SME/manufacturing exposure highly advantageous) Technical skills: Strong Excel knowledge including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs etc. Soft skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines Communication: Confident communicator, with strong written and verbal English - essential for documentation and stakeholder engagement Personal attributes: Trustworthy, professional, and collaborative with a drive to continuously improve processes What you need to know You'll be joining a supportive team environment with opportunities to add real value to the business Confidentiality, reliability and initiative are critical to your success in this role Occasional travel is required
