The Apprentice Administrators will provide a variety of administrative and clerical duties to support the category team to ensure the Trust obtains the best possible value in the procurement and/or delivery of goods and services. The Apprentices will work closely with the Category Team, Inventory & Supplies, Performance and Governance Team to deliver key results, as well as support category leads during procurement activities. Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Category Teams by researching products and services for procurement activities.
2. Arrange meetings, events such as product review sessions, and request product samples to support procurement.
3. Compile, review, and analyze electronic data from the Trust's reporting systems.
4. Assist in managing the procurement mailbox, new supplier forms, and D&B credit reports.
5. Resolve product, invoice, or service queries related to contracts and liaise with team members.
6. Provide information on services or products and communicate effectively with colleagues.
7. Review spend comparison reports and follow up on actions.
8. Perform general administration duties and maintain accurate records using electronic systems.
9. Undertake projects as directed by the category team.
10. Assist in uploading documents for new products in the internal catalogue.
11. Prepare scoping documents for procurement submissions, including usage reports.
12. Develop knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures.
13. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
14. Support the procurement process within the category team.
15. Participate in a development program leading to a National Standard/Framework as part of an apprenticeship.
16. Complete the Apprenticeship Standard/Framework within the agreed timescales.
17. Understand roles within Procurement, Supplies, and Performance and Governance, providing assistance as needed.
