Injection Moulding SetterJob Title – Injection Moulding SetterLocation – Hastings, East SussexSalary – £34,354 – £40,240 (DOE)Shift – Rotating (6am–3pm, 2pm–11pm, 10pm–7am, 45 hours per week)Job Role of the Injection Moulding SetterAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business. This role offers the chance to work within a fast-paced production environment, where quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement are at the core of operations.Working as part of a skilled team, you will be responsible for setting, operating, and optimising injection moulding machines to ensure production targets are consistently met.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor injection moulding machines and associated equipmentCarry out tool changes, start-ups, and safe shutdownsTroubleshoot processing and machinery issues to minimise downtimeEnsure production output meets quality, cost, and time targetsMaintain accurate records of machine settings, performance, and production dataPerform routine checks, tests, and quality inspectionsWork closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teamsMaintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safetyContribute to continuous improvement initiativesSector – Industrial ManufacturingNon-Negotiable RequirementsMinimum 2 years' experience as an Injection Moulding roleBackground in a manufacturing or production environmentRequirements for the Injection Moulding SetterStrong understanding of polymers, tooling, and processing behaviourExperience with machine set-up, optimisation, and fault findingAbility to read technical drawings and follow specificationsKnowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environmentGood communication skills and ability to work as part of a teamHigh level of ownership, reliability, and work ethicWillingness to learn and respond well to coachingThe Injection Moulding Setter Will Benefit FromCompetitive salary with scope towards the higher end for experienced candidates25 days holiday + bank holidays + your birthday offPension scheme with up to 10% employer contributionDiscretionary company bonus schemeStable, long-term role within a well-established manufacturing businessOpportunities for progression into senior or leadership roles (e.g. Shift Leader, Projects)Supportive team environment with a focus on developmentAdditional InformationReporting to the Shift Leader and Production ManagerWorking within a team of 3 setters per shiftCandidates must have the right to work in the UKTPBN1_UKTJ
