About The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our team working on a key contract.
You will carry out general maintenance and statutory compliance checks and should have basic plumbing, electrical, and fabric maintenance skills, ideally with experience in a similar facilities management environment.
The role involves client engagement and providing optimal solutions to meet client needs, so maintaining a professional appearance is required. Good spoken and written English is essential.
Main Duties:
1. Planning, inspecting, and executing repairs or preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns promptly.
2. Performing reactive and planned services across various environments including offices, commercial, distribution, and industrial premises.
3. Having trade skills or previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
4. Conducting statutory inspections of assets such as Emergency Lighting, Water Temperature, Fire Doors, Plumbing, and Lighting, along with minor reactive works.
5. Representing the company professionally, handling complaints and queries effectively.
6. Supporting engineer subcontractors on-site.
7. Providing technical guidance to clients and contract support.
8. Carrying out minor building fabric repairs.
9. Ensuring all work complies with specifications and health & safety legislation.
10. Maintaining site documentation accurately.
Requirements to be successful:
* Ideal C&G qualification in electrical discipline.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* NVQ Level 2 or higher in a building discipline.
* Experience in basic plumbing, carpentry, redecoration, and statutory inspections, with good health & safety awareness.
* Understanding of planned preventative maintenance regimes.
* Experience with risk assessments, method statements, and permit to work procedures.
* Experience using BMS systems.
* Knowledge of maintenance schedules and SFG 20 is desirable.
* Ability to document work accurately on worksheets and digital systems.
* Full UK driving license, as use of a company vehicle may be required.
