TA (SEN) Position Available for Immediate Start in Romford
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential? Our schools in Romford are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants (TAs) with SEN experience to join our team immediately.
About the Role:
As a TA (SEN), you will provide invaluable support to students with a range of additional needs, helping to create an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. From assisting in the classroom to providing one-to-one support, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and emotional development of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering tailored support to students with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.
- Provide one-to-one support and small group interventions to help students access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
- Support students with their emotional and social development, promoting positive behaviour and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCOs to inform planning and support.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in a SEN setting, is desirable but not essential.
- A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and support their individual needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
- Relevant qualifications or training in supporting students with SEN, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are advantageous.
