An exciting opportunity to join a busy transport teem based in Irthlingborough.
There is a 2 weeks training period in Corby
This role will be working Monday to Friday 7.30am to 04.00pm
The role
* contact with drivers, including pre & debriefing drivers at start and end of shift
* plan and manage the service to customers including between depots
* plan and prioritise vehicle and trailer loading, updating schedules and ensuring smooth delivery on time
* manage delivery paperwork and routine reporting
* support the fleet function ensuring all mechanical defects and service requirements are dealt with
* managing and liaising with drivers to meet the customers’ expectations
* ensure accurate handover information is passed on.
The person
* ideally have experience working in a busy transport operation
* good knowledge of WTD and tacho legislation
good IT skills
