At LSCft we are developing our Peer Workforce to strengthen our lived experience expertise in our delivery of person centred care. We’re serious about enabling career opportunities for our Peer Workforce by recruiting to a Senior Peer Facilitator who will join our recovery-focused Community Roots service on a 30-hour permanent contract. Due to the success of Peer roles across our in-patient services, we are now looking to recruit a Senior Peer Facilitator to be based in Bay locality
The role of the Senior Peer Facilitator has been developed specifically for people who have lived experience of recovery from mental health challenges and experience of personally accessing inpatient mental health services or secondary care community mental health services. Senior Peer Facilitators will have experience of providing peer support to mental health service users.
This important role will help us to develop a supportive peer network across The Bay locality by enhancing the recruitment, training and mentorship of Peer Facilitators across in-patient services. You will play a key role in developing Trust wide understanding of the role of Peers in achieving excellent person centred care, as well as promoting recovery principles and education through the Community Roots.
