Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. You will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring high standards of food production and preparation, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and bartenders, to ensure efficient food production and service.
* Assist in the training and development of team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and teamwork.
* Oversee food preparation processes to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining quality standards.
* Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
* Implement marketing strategies to promote the restaurant and increase patronage.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the restaurant, ensuring all areas meet hygiene standards.
* You will be responsible for overseeing the opening and closing of the restaurant, including end-of-day cash-ups and ensuring all closing procedures are completed accurately.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hotel environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
* Knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices is essential.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Previous experience in bartending or knowledge of beverage service is advantageous.
* A passion for food preparation and an understanding of current culinary trends.
