An enthusiastic support assistant is needed to support a visually impaired team member in our busy press team.
No two days are the same, so we need someone who is flexible. It is a support/admin role, ideally suited for someone interested in communications or seeking a career in that field. The candidate should be able to take photos and videos or be willing to learn.
The role is 32 hours per week, with specific working days to be agreed. Holidays should generally be taken at the same time as the team member where possible.
This is a fixed-term role for 12 months.
Main Responsibilities
You will assist a visually impaired team member with:
* Proofreading press releases and social media copy
* Helping with press interviews
* Diary management and administrative tasks such as filling in timesheets and booking holidays
* Video, photography, and editing skills
The Ideal Candidate
You should have an interest in communications or be a recent graduate seeking your first role in the public sector or communications.
You will be:
* Flexible, with the ability to take photos and videos or willing to learn
* Willing to work in Stafford with occasional travel around the county, so a car is required
