We are delighted to be partnering with a boutique private equity firm to hire a dedicated and strategic Head of Human Resources. With a strong reputation for integrity, client service, and innovation, the organisation is now looking to strengthen its HR function with the appointment of a new Head of HR. This is a pivotal role for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building structure, shaping culture, and driving strategic people initiatives in a complex and changing environment.
This is a part-time role, considering applicants on a 4-day week or 5 days, with condensed hours.
As Head of Human Resources, you will take ownership of the full employee lifecycle and play a central role in shaping the HR function and offering. This is a hands‑on position, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving business.
You will also be given the opportunity to hire a junior HR professional to support with HR administration and operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and enhance the full employee lifecycle, ensuring a consistent, engaging, and values‑driven experience.
* Develop a strategic approach to culture, engagement, and employee experience, ensuring the organisation remains a great place to work as it grows.
* Introduce data‑driven HR practices, using insights to inform decision‑making, identify trends, and influence senior stakeholders.
* Develop a long-term reward and recognition approach that supports retention, performance, and market competitiveness.
* Oversee and improve recruitment processes, ensuring the organisation attracts high‑calibre talent.
* Develop and implement talent management and succession planning frameworks aligned with future growth.
* Provide expert guidance on employment law, ensuring compliance and supporting leaders with complex matters.
* Review, update, and embed HR policies and procedures that reflect best practice and organisational culture.
* Strengthen onboarding and recruitment practices, ensuring processes are transparent, compliant, and designed to support fair hiring and a positive candidate experience.
* Manage, coach, and develop the HR Assistant to ensure effective day‑to‑day operations.
To be successful in this role, you must be an experienced HR generalist with strong knowledge of financial services regulations and UK employment law / translating this into business policy and process. You will have managed talent acquisition and be passionate about enhancing and developing recruitment operations.
You must be proactive, solutions‑focused and have the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands‑on delivery.
