The Role
As an EHS Advisor, you ll play a key role in maintaining and advancing the company s Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will support both strategic development and day-to-day operational implementation of health, safety, and ergonomic initiatives, ensuring full compliance with UK legislation and international standards such as ISO45001 and ISO14001.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development and execution of site-wide HSE strategy
* Lead H&S risk management programmes and audits
* Drive behavioural safety and accident reduction initiatives
* Conduct ergonomic risk assessments aligned with occupational health goals
* Maintain and improve ISO45001 and ISO14001 certification standards
* Deliver internal training and lead safety learning programmes
* Track safety and ergonomics data in line with corporate requirements
* Coordinate with external certification bodies and regulatory agencies
* Monitor legislative changes and integrate best practices
* Lead or assist in incident investigations and corrective actions
* Promote a Safety First culture across all levels of the organisation
Your Background
Essential:
* Post-secondary education in safety engineering or equivalent practical experience
* Working knowledge of HSE legislation and risk assessment
* NEBOSH & COSHH qualified
* Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
* Computer literacy, particularly with MS Office
Desirable:
* Experience in automotive, engineering, or manufacturing sectors
* ISO45001/ISO14001 lead auditor qualifications
* Familiarity with behavioural safety and lean manufacturing
* CMIOSH membership (or working towards it)
* Trainer qualifications and experience with castings or fabrication processes
