About The Role As a Flexibank Support Worker, you’ll be part of a passionate and supportive team that goes above and beyond to make a difference in young people’s lives. No two days are the same — one day might involve helping with daily routines and school preparation, while another could mean supporting a child through a difficult moment or enjoying outdoor activities in our countryside surroundings. You’ll be there to provide consistent, nurturing care, creating a safe and positive space for our young people to thrive. What You’ll Do Complete a full and thorough induction and ongoing training, including safeguarding and trauma-informed care. Work in line with East Farm’s policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of everyone in the home. Provide individualised support for young people with a range of emotional, social, and learning needs. Support young people with daily routines and activities, including education, hobbies, and family contact. Encourage independence, life skills, and personal achievement. Create a safe, homely, and stimulating environment where young people feel valued and understood. Build strong, positive relationships through consistent communication, empathy, and respect. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, social workers, and professionals to ensure cohesive care. Keep accurate, detailed records and contribute to handovers, team meetings, and key work sessions. Undertake sleep-in shifts and remain flexible to meet the needs of the home. Be proactive in identifying and reporting risks or safeguarding concerns. Maintain high standards of tidiness and presentation within the home.
