About the Role
A leading organisation is seeking Senior GCP Cloud Infrastructure Engineers to join its Public Cloud Platform function. You will play a key role in enabling secure, compliant, scalable and efficient GCP adoption across the business. This is a hands-on engineering role delivering modern cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, and platform capabilities within a cross-functional engineering team.
This position involves building and curating GCP cloud products through Infrastructure-as-Code, implementing automation pipelines, and shaping engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver hands-on GCP cloud engineering with strong DevOps & CI/CD experience
* Build, curate, and maintain GCP cloud infrastructure using Terraform / Terraform Cloud
* Restructure and optimise Terraform modules, state management, and reusable templates
* Implement secure, policy-driven infrastructure including guardrails, org policies, OPA/Sentinel
* Build automation workflows and tools using Python
* Work with GKE, containers, Istio and modern cluster management practices
* Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for IaC deployments
* Contribute to engineering patterns, best practices and platform innovation
Essential Skills
* Proven experience in GCP Cloud Engineering & Infra DevOps
* Strong hands-on Terraform / Terraform Cloud experience
* Python scripting for automation
* Experience with Harness, Jenkins, GitHub (or similar CI/CD tools)
* Strong background with GKE, containerisation, Istio service mesh
* Knowledge of GCP Organisation Policy, Policy as Code (OPA/Sentinel)
* Relevant GCP and Terraform certifications
Desirable Skills
* Senior-level engineering background with advisory/consultative capability
* Experience shaping cloud strategy, design and architectural best practices
* Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience with internal developer platforms (e.g., Backstage)
