Teaching Assistant -1:1 SEND Support
Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious Special needs Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream Primary School in Oldham to work on a long-term basis starting in March!
You’ll be joining an inclusive school, focused on Fostering a love of learning and independence.
This is an exciting role for an experienced educator to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential!
What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:
1. Providing 1:1 support for a student diagnosed with Autism
2. Promote Inclusive learning within the classroom
3. Work in collaboration with the class teacher and the SENCO deliver continued and relevant support
4. Working with the class teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate
Essential Qualifications:
5. Must have recent and relevant experience in an education setting
6. Experience of working with young people with SEND particularly Autism
7. Holds a Level 2/3 qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, Etc.) or relevant experience
8. Must be pro-active and be able to work on their own initiative
