JOB TITLE: Private Client Solicitor

THE ROLE: A highly respected regional law firm is seeking a Private Client Solicitor (1-3 years PQE) to join its growing Wills, Trusts, and Estates team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a top-tier department (ranked Band One in Chambers and Legal 500) that offers high-quality work, structured development, and a supportive team environment. This role is ideal for a junior solicitor looking to grow their expertise in private client work, with extensive support and hands-on experience from day one. You’ll work on a broad caseload of non-contentious private client matters, including:
1. Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
2. Estate administration, including inheritance tax advice
3. Preparation and submission of IHT accounts
4. Advising a diverse range of private clients
You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your own files, build client relationships, and contribute to the team’s business development activities.
THE CANDIDATE:
5. 1–3 years’ PQE as a solicitor in private client law
6. Strong drafting and technical skills across Wills, LPAs, and estate administration
7. A proactive, client-focused approach with excellent communication skills
8. Willingness to learn, take on responsibility, and contribute to team success
9. Interest in developing business relationships and growing your own client base
10. A genuine team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
