Environmental Consultant - Permitting and Compliance
RPS, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Environmental Consultant to join the Permitting and Compliance team, with locations across the UK.
About the Team
RPS specializes in permitting and compliance services, supporting projects aligned with the UK's Net Zero commitments. We have led initiatives such as securing the first permit for a carbon capture and utilization project in the UK.
The Permitting and Compliance Team works on projects in waste management, energy (conventional and renewable), oil and gas, and other industrial sectors. We assist clients throughout the permit lifecycle, from initial advice and applications to compliance management and surrender.

Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing environmental permit applications, licenses, and approvals, including new, variation, and surrender applications.
* Develop environmental management system documents and support plans required by permits.
* Monitor and report permit compliance to UK regulators.
* Perform assigned tasks to high standards and deadlines, following QA procedures.
Candidate Profile:
* Experience in permit application preparation.
* Understanding of UK permitting legislation, guidance, and requirements.
* Strong project management and communication skills.
* Problem-solving ability.
* Valid UK driving license.
