Job Description
The Assistant Accountant's responsibilities include:
3. Manage and maintain financial records for client trust accounts.
4. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
5. Month end reporting to group and third-party stakeholders on monthly activity along with the provision of statements.
6. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
8. Own and structure sales ledger reports for internal and external teams.
9. Collaborate with the wider accounting and finance team on audits and reviews.
10. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
11. Support process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
12. A strong background in accounting or finance, ideally in Sales Ledger.
13. Proficiency in financial software and tools, with excellent numerical skills.
14. A solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
15. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
16. The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
17. A relevant accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
