We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Playgroup Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess strong leadership and management skills. This role involves supporting the Leader in the daily operations of our facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. The Deputy playgroup Leader will play a crucial role in fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Leader in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
* Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to build strong relationships and provide updates on children's progress.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment within the playgroup.
* Support the management of daily operations, including attendance records and activity schedules.
* Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere that encourages children's growth and development.
* Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education.
Qualifications
* Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Children's childcare.
* Previous experience in childcare or nursery settings is essential.
* Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide a team.
* Experience working with children of preschool age, demonstrating patience and understanding.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles is an advantage.
* A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
