Join us as Chef at The Fox at Ryton, a stunning 17th century pub that reopened in December after extensive refurbishment and new management. Shape our food offering from day one and establish The Fox as a destination for exceptional seasonal cuisine in the heart of Shropshire countryside.
What You'll Do
Create seasonal menus showcasing local produce and modern British cuisine. Lead kitchen operations including stock control, supplier relationships, and team supervision. Maintain exceptional food safety standards while controlling costs and delivering consistent quality across 50 indoor covers plus outdoor seating.
What You Bring
Proven track record in quality food-led pubs or restaurants with strong menu development skills. Level 3 Food Hygiene certification required. You combine creative flair with commercial awareness, thrive under pressure, and share our passion for local ingredients and community spirit.
What We Offer
£30,000-£34,000 depending on experience, 28 days holiday including bank holidays, pension scheme, training opportunities, and the chance to build something special as part of our community ownership model.
