About the Role:
Our client, a leading provider of wealth and insurance-based financial services, is looking for a skilled and commercially focused In-House Commercial Contract Lawyer to join their legal team. This is a high-impact role, reporting to the Head of Procurement, and ideal for someone ready to take ownership of complex, high-value commercial agreements across a highly regulated, multi-jurisdictional environment. You’ll play a key role in shaping the organisation’s commercial legal strategy, supporting procurement functions, and guiding contract governance across international operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the review and negotiation of a broad range of commercial and technology contracts
* Coordinate internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure aligned, compliant outcomes
* Advise on procurement agreements, supplier contracts, and legal risk exposure
* Support cross-border contract management, particularly UK and Irish jurisdictions
* Act as the legal lead for strategic vendor engagements and procurement initiatives
* Collaborate with legal, procurement, and business teams to align on governance and delivery
About You:
* Qualified solicitor in the UK with 4+ years PQE
* Strong experience in commercial contract law within financial services, wealth management, banking, and tech
* Skilled in managing complex, multi-jurisdictional agreements
* Strong communicator with the ability to advise confidently at senior level
* Commercially minded, with a pragmatic approach to legal risk
* Familiarity with procurement processes and cross-functional collaboration
