Details of this position:
This position is for a Full Time Lecturer in Reading/Literacy.
The role will involve providing and promoting literacy and reading in 1:1 sessions to all learners, and the wider prison community.
You will need to be able to handle the below responsibilities:
Organisational and administrative work.
Preparation, assessment and marking.
Developing and maintaining a full course file including comprehensive scheme of learning and lesson planning.
To assist with the capture of student data relating to retention rates, examination and other assessment results, student progress and student satisfaction surveys.
To provide initial curriculum related advice and guidance, and carry out interviewing, induction, assessment and examination (including invigilation activities) of students as required.Work schedule: Full time or Part-time
37.5 hours per week to ensure coverage for LLRC opening times. This may include some weekend and evening duties as required by the prison.
Salary scale: £26,760-£34,439 per annum (prorata for part-time working hours).
Annual leave: 281.5 hours per annum, inclusive of statutory bank holidays. (pro-rata for parttime working hours)
To be considered, suitable candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Good basic general education including GCSE (or) equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C or above.
Proven experience in an administrative role.
