Description
* Leading and managing investigations and strategic litigation on children's rights
* Providing legal analysis, advice, and representation to support the organisation's statutory duties
* Collaborating across teams and with external stakeholders to influence law, policy, and practice
* Engaging directly with children and young people to ensure their voices shape legal work
* Instructing counsel, preparing legal submissions, and contributing to high-profile public interest work
Profile
* A solicitor or equivalent with 5+ years' litigation experience in a fast-paced legal environment
* Skilled in public and human rights law, ideally with experience in strategic or public interest litigation
* Committed to rights-based, child-centred practice and ethical legal standards
* Comfortable engaging with children and young people and working collaboratively across disciplines
* Familiar with Scots law, human rights instruments, and UNCRC obligations (desirable)
* Experience in Court of Session litigation with significant experience of conducting the Edinburgh Agency side
