Overview
The Mental Health Care Group has an exciting opportunity for Health Care Support Workers to join our inpatient service for working aged adults. Following a recent review of our service and staffing establishment we can offer posts in all four of our localities (Barnsley, Wakefield, Calderdale and Kirklees).
We provide inpatient assessment and treatment for service users experiencing an acute episode of their mental illness and/or disorder.
The role of the Health Support Worker is to deliver high quality inpatient care under supervision from qualified colleagues. The post holder will provide therapeutic support and practical assistance to service users to actively engage in their recovery process. The post requires effective liaison with service users, carers and other professionals and agencies as required. It will involve the provision of direct physical and psychological care. Our Health Support Workers are at the centre of engaging our service users.
