What Youll Be Doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to the patient’s wellbeing. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated. Key responsibilities include:
* Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
* Assess, plan and deliver nursing care with patient and family involvement, respecting patient choice and acting as the named nurse.
* Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess needs and evaluate progress.
* Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
* Evaluate and respond to changes in patient’s condition and needs.
* Deal proactively and effectively with suggestions and complaints from patients, families and carers.
What Youll Bring to the Role
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6–12 months of post‑registration experience, an active NMC registration and completion of a preceptorship programme. The candidate should have a strong understanding of NMC guidelines, demonstrated ongoing professional development, a positive attitude, commitment to quality care, and flexibility to adopt innovative practice. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. A minimum of six months of post‑registration experience within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment and continued professional development in a relevant field is required.
