Duties
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of machinery and equipment.
* Assemble components and systems according to specifications.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and fabrication tasks.
* Diagnose mechanical issues by interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
* Conduct welding operations as required for repairs or fabrication.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and safety standards are met.
Requirements
* Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
* Ability to read and understand schematics and technical documentation.
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
