We are seeking a proactive, clinically confident Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join our expanding Occupational Health & Wellbeing service. This is a unique opportunity to influence workplace health, shape service improvements, and make a meaningful impact on the wellbeing of our workforce. You will lead by example, bringing a significant background in health surveillance and case management, and ensuring service quality is maintained to the highest standards. With meticulous attention to detail, you will manage employee health records in full compliance with legal, clinical, and organisational requirements. As an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering ScotRail’s Occupational Health and Wellbeing services. Working collaboratively with managers, employees, and external Occupational Health providers, you will strengthen organisational capability by ensuring our Occupational Health, Health Surveillance, Case Management, and Wellbeing programmes are delivered efficiently, professionally, and to an exceptional standard. What you bring: Part 3 NMC Registered Nurse with a degree/diploma in Occupational Health. Extensive and demonstrable experience working within an Occupational Health role, conducting ongoing health surveillance activities and complex case management. Proven ability to conduct fitness-to-work evaluations and management referrals. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Health & Safety Act 1974 and UK GDPR compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders. Effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload whilst maintaining accurate health records via an OH and HR system. Ability to support the development of Occupational Health policies and processes. Experience working in a railway, public sector or safety-critical environment is highly desirable. This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, working Monday to Friday. ScotRail offers a hybrid working model which is typically 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
