The Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated assistant to join their depot in Redditch — an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career. This role offers clear progression to become a Trainee Engineer in the future, supported by hands‑on experience, training, and mentoring from industry experts.
You will play a key part in maintaining the fleet and supporting engineers both in the depot and occasionally on client sites across the UK.
The role
* Accurately prepare picking lists and manage yard organisation.
* Receive, offload, and allocate returned assets safely and efficiently.
* Maintain up-to-date stock counts and report shortfalls or transfer needs.
* Take ownership of yard cleanliness, organisation, and safety.
* Support the servicing and maintenance of equipment.
* Develop new technical skills, including carrying out Pre‑Delivery Inspections (PDIs).
* Communicate effectively with teams across multiple depots.
* Assist engineers with installations and servicing when required, including occasional travel.
About You
You must be proactive, detail‑oriented, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly. You will thrive working independently, have a strong sense of ownership, and are eager to develop your skills within a technical, fast‑paced environment.
Requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Reside within 30 minutes of Redditch
* Physically fit and willing to handle demanding tasks
* Forklift experience (training can be provided)
