Job Summary
The salaried GP will play a lead role in ensuring an integrated and focused healthcare provision relevant to the differing needs of the patient population within the Bellevue Group Practice area. The salaried GP will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing a full range of general medical services to patient groups. In addition to providing primary care services, the post holder will be expected to be involved in liaison with other agencies and management of service. The GP will take clinical responsibility for registered patients and maintain appropriate records of treatment given and NHS services provided. Offer and carry out consultations and where appropriate, physical examinations for the purposes of identifying and reducing the risk of illness, disease or injury, including immediately necessary and temporary patients. In accordance with the Practice timetable, the post‑holder will make himself/herself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Arrange for the referral of patients, as appropriate, for the provision of any other services. Carry out a review of medication prescribing.
Responsibilities

* Be available for surgery consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence;
* Give advice to patients on general health matters and the significance of risk activities such as tobacco, alcohol and drug misuse;
* Offer and provide, where appropriate, all immunisations that are part of GMS;
* Arrange for referrals to other services as required;
* Carry out a review of medication prescribing.
