He Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor / Site Manager to oversee a £1.5m water infrastructure scheme in Congleton, involving the conversion of humus tanks into storm tanks.
This role is ideal for a mechanically biased site leader who is proactive, pragmatic, and capable of taking ownership of day-to-day site operations while working closely with the Project Manager.
The project is already underway (enabling works started), with main works programmed for approximately 8–9 months.
About the Company
We are a Principal Contractor operating within the water sector and have secured a position on the AMP8 framework with United Utilities, covering projects across Cheshire & Merseyside. This presents strong ongoing workload and continuity beyond the initial scheme. Future works will be available
Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day supervision of site activities

Coordination of subcontractors and direct labour
*
Ordering plant, materials, and site equipment
*
Producing POWRAs and ensuring site documentation is maintained
*
Taking site dimensions and assisting with setting out requirements
*
Supporting the Project Manager with delivery and programme
*
Ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety standards
Candidate Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Senior Supervisor or Site Manager within water or utilities
*
Mechanically biased (essential) with some electrical exposure (beneficial)
*
Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations
*
Able to act on instruction and manage responsibilities independently
*
Practical, solutions-focused and proactive approach
*
SMSTS (preferred)
*
