About the Team
The DoLS team operates within the Adult Mental Health service area and is responsible for ensuring that individuals who lack the capacity to consent to their care or treatment are protected under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards legislation. The team works on behalf of Warwickshire County Council as the Supervisory Body, ensuring legal compliance and promoting best practices across multi-agency settings.
About the Role
The Admin Assistant plays a key role in supporting the DoLS process by providing comprehensive administrative support. This includes managing confidential records, handling communications with internal teams and external partners, and maintaining financial and data systems. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure while supporting a sensitive and legally significant area of adult social care.
Key Requirements
Candidates will need to have a good empathetic telephone manner, excellent listening and typing skills. Key responsibilities include updating Client records, answering telephone queries and sending confidential information to Clients. Relatives, Care Homes and Hospitals.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards processes and will have excellent attention to detail, a flexible approach to work and a can-do attitude.
