Personal AssistantLocation: Newark, Office-based (with hybrid flexibility)Salary: £33,000-£38,000 basic
We’re working with a well-established, independent mortgage brokerage that’s known for its tailored advice, strong ethics, and loyal client base. With consistent referral-driven business and a boutique feel, this firm prioritises quality over volume—offering a genuinely people-first environment. As part of their ongoing growth, they’re now seeking a Personal Assistant to support the Director and play a key part in the firm’s daily operations.
Personal Assistant Responsibilities;
* Support the Director with day-to-day admin, task prioritisation, and diary coordination
* Review mortgage cases for accuracy before they move to formal administration
* Assist with elements of mortgage admin (e.g. document gathering, file prep, basic lender communication)
* Keep internal workflows smooth between brokers and back-office teams
* Act as a detail-focused gatekeeper, spotting gaps and ensuring efficiency
* Get involved in wider operational tasks where needed
Requirements to become a Personal Assistant;
* Strong PA experience — ideally from financial services, mortgages, or professional services
* Highly organised, proactive, and confident managing director-level workloads
* Solid understanding of mortgage processes (or a willingness to learn quickly)
* A natural multitasker with a sharp eye for detail
* Friendly and composed — someone who thrives in a role that’s both structured and varied
