The Role:

As an administrator and receptionist volunteer, you will provide a welcoming,organisedand efficient front-line service. This role supports day-to-day operations through reception duties, administrative support,resource management, and engagement with people accessing the service, whilstensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

Tasks may include:

1. Meet and greet people accessing the service, including offering peer/listening support, making coffees etc

2. Directing people to meetings and ensuring people sign in and out

3. Check people into appointments through communication with Recovery Coordinators,either in person orTeams

4. Managing incoming and outgoing post

5. Replenish displays,leafletsand resources

6. Supporting colleagues with copying, printing, scanning, and laminating asrequired

7. Assistingwith the administration and resources for group activities, training etc

8. Promoting the service

9. Liaising with staff and people accessing the service to gain feedback which helps inform decisions, this may involve encouraging people to complete feedback forms

10. Adhering to policies such as safeguarding, information governance, riskmanagement and healthand safety

11. Help keep waiting areas clean and tidy and the library stocked

Volunteers will be provided with Naloxone and BBV training, enabling those who feel confident to offer further support, including assisting with BBV testing within the service.

The team would appreciate a minimum of 4 hours in any of the following Days/Times: Monday to Friday: 9:15am to 5.15pm

It would be desirable, but not essential, for volunteers to have the following:

12. Good understanding of drugs and alcohol issues

13. Experience in a similar role

16. Be willing to learn new skills from the team

17. Confidence to greet and speak to people, with excellent verbal communication skills

18. To be caring, patient and empathetic

19. Ability to remain calm and focused in a busy environment

20. Confident IT skills – aside from any IT skillsrequiredfor the role, some of our mandatory training is done online through eLearning modules

21. Professional,honestand committed

22. Non-judgmental towards people with lived experience

23. Good timekeeping

24. Able to work as part of a team, on own initiative and to instruction

25. An understanding ofWaythrough– information is available on our website, and you can call a specific project to make enquiries.

26. A genuine interest in being part of the mission,visionand promiseofWaythrough

27. Ability tomaintainprofessional boundaries, adhere toWaythroughpolicies and media guidelines, engage in supervision, and complete relevant training
