Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Secondary School – Dover
Are you passionate about supporting young people in their educational journey?
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Dover starting October 2025.
As an LSA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, empathetic, and committed to making a difference in the lives of young learners.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, both in and outside the classroom.
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
* Support students with special educational needs (SEN), including those with EHCPs.
* Help to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is highly desirable.
* A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
