CAD CAM Programmer Northampton 6 months contract £30 - £35 per hour, Inside IR35 EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a CAD CAM Programmer to join a precision engineering company located in Northampton. Due to exciting new projects, our client is looking to onboard x2 CAD CAM / Offline NC Programmers on a 6 month contracting basis. Our client is a market leader in advanced engineering - designing and manufacturing bespoke, low volume components for highly regulated industries, supplying into a global customer base. Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates. Key Benefits on offer: Competitive pay: Circa £35 per hour inside IR35 6 months contract initially Shifts: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week Opportunity to create programs for Motorsport, F1 and Automotive components, using the latests tools and technology Your responsibilities include: Creating NC Programs for multi-axis CNC Milling / Mill-Turn machines using CAD CAM software Use of Hypermill or Catia V5 software Proving out programs using Vericut Working from Engineering drawings / 3D models Reverse engineering and continuous improvement activities Worked with multi-pallet, multi-axis machines Knowledge of implementing tool offset management Ability to work from engineering drawings and 3D models Previous experience in producing programs for complex components, ideally within aerospace, motorsport, nuclear, oil & gas or medical sectors Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate: Minimum of 3 years programming CNC Milling / Turning / Mill-Turn / Turn-Mill machines using offline controls Created complex NC programs for mulit axis CNC machines using Hypermill or Catia V5 software Understanding of Siemens or Fanuc CNC controls to prove out programs manually Knowledge of using Vericut to validate programs Worked with multi-pallet, multi-axis machines is advantageous Knowledge of implementing tool offset management Ability to work from engineering drawings and 3D models Previous experience in producing programs for detailed components, ideally within aerospace, motorsport, nuclear, oil & gas, medical or sub contract machine shop environments.
