Our client BAE Systems, a prominent player in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking two experienced Senior Engineers in Mechanical Engineering to join their team on a 12-month contract basis. The role is based in Barrow with hybrid working arrangements, requiring 2-3 days a week on-site. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring compliance with defence and security standards and protocols. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met. Providing expertise and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff. Managing project timelines and ensuring deliverables are met within the set deadlines. Preparing detailed engineering documentation and technical reports. Gathering data on heat loads from other engineers working within the HVAC and cooling systems team Data management Job Requirements: Experience in mechanical engineering Proficiency in using mechanical engineering software and tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
