FJA are recruiting on behalf of our client, a company specialising in the repair and maintenance of wastewater networks. They are currently looking for a Ganger based in the Southern Water Region.

Ganger role and responsibilities:
1. To lead a team of up to two operatives undertaking civils work on the drainage network
2. To receive and follow instructions given by the supervisor /civils manager
3. To undertake a daily pre-start, Point of Works Risk Assessment (POWRA) and brief the risk to your team members and to all visitors to site and get same to sign acknowledgement
4. To carry out civils work as described in the work order in a timely and safe fashion, including but not limited: dig down repair, manhole rebuilds/Covers, and AFD/interceptor install/removal
5. To order plant and materials via supervisor from site
6. To always wear and ensure that everyone else on site, including visitors, also wear the mandated and appropriate personal protective equipment (clothing) which is provided by the Company
7. To be able to use a hand-held device to capture the relevant information from the job
8. To complete paperwork in tidy and timely manner
