Location: Babraham Campus, Cambridge (1-2 days per week in the office)

At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer. We have an exciting opportunity for an organised, proactive and highly adaptable Personal Assistant to play a key role in supporting senior leaders at the forefront of scientific innovation. You’ll deliver exceptional administrative and organisational support within our Therapeutic Innovation division, enabling our leaders to focus on accelerating the discovery and development of life‑changing cancer treatments.
In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer, Vice President of Portfolio Generation, Vice President of Bioscience, and Vice President of Chemistry & DMPK, ensuring they are equipped to deliver life‑changing research and strategic programmes. You’ll also collaborate with the wider administrative team to keep operations running smoothly across the organisation.
The post holder is expected to be based at our Babraham site 1-2 days a week. Advance notice will be given of any travel away from your primary location and costs will be covered by Cancer Research Horizons.
What will you be doing?
* Manage complex schedules for the CSO, VP of Bioscience, VP of Chemistry & DMPK, and VP of Portfolio Generation
* Triage, arrange, and manage meeting requests from internal and external stakeholders for the CSO, VP of Bioscience, VP of Chemistry & DMPK, and VP of Portfolio Generation
* Arrange domestic and international travel and accommodation for the CSO, VP of Bioscience, VP of Chemistry & DMPK, and VP of Portfolio Generation
* Support and form part of the events team for all staff events
* As part of the administrative team, provide support as needed with helpdesk tickets and general enquiries from staff
* Provide on-site support to leadership team and staff as needed
* Ad hoc duties as required

* Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering quality
* Strong time-management skills and an ability to organise and coordinate multiple concurrent projects
* Communicates professionally and effectively with colleagues
* Maintains a high level of professionalism when dealing with confidential information and communications
* A positive attitude and customer service mindset
* Ideally experience supporting multiple senior stakeholders
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team as required
* A strong proficiency with Outlook, Adobe Pro, and Microsoft Teams is preferred
