My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Process Engineer/Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
This role would ideally suit an experienced Maintenance Engineer who has experience with CI and process improvement that is looking to grow and develop further. It would also suit an experienced Process/ CI Engineer with a maintenance background.
The role will support both maintenance activities and process development initiatives on the shop floor. This hands-on role is ideal for an ambitious engineer looking to grow into a senior engineering leadership position by progressively taking on greater responsibility in asset reliability, process optimisation, and operational improvement.

What we're looking for:
Experience
Extensive experience in a high-mix, low-volume or batch manufacturing environment.
Education:
Level 3 or higher qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering at a minimum. A higher level qualification and evidence of ongoing learning would be advantageous.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in CAD design and documentation
Hands-on experience with PPM, equipment installations, fault diagnosis, and working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Improvement Mindset:
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, or other continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and the aspiration to take on increasing technical and leadership responsibilities.
Process Engineer / Maintenance Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance Support & Coordination
Perform routine inspections, fault diagnosis, and minor repairs on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Assist in developing and implementing planned and reactive maintenance schedules.
Collaborate with external contractors and service providers to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure compliance with RAMS and HSE standards.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and support tracking of key KPIs
2. Process Development & Optimistion
Support the analysis and improvement of key fabrication processes
Contribute to the implementation of Lean improvements and standardization efforts to reduce variation and improve efficiency.
Lead or assist in the design, trial, and feedback gathering for tools, jigs, and fixtures to reduce setup time and improve consistency.
3. Technical Documentation & Standardisation
Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and checklists, under guidance from technical and fabrication leaders.
4. Shop floor Optimisation & Equipment Projects
Support the installation, commissioning, and integration of new or upgraded capital equipment.
Assist project leads in implementing shopfloor layout changes linked to process improvements or new equipment introduction, ensuring alignment with production needs and flow.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate closely with production, quality, and technical teams to ensure high product quality.
Support product trials to meet evolving customer needs.
