Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) Fitter to join our dynamic Rail team in Horsham. This is your chance to work with cutting-edge rail maintenance technology, ensuring our MPVs are running at peak performance to keep the UK rail network moving. What’s on offer? 35-hour work week overtime opportunities Day shifts from April to September Rotating shifts from October to March Be part of a team that values precision, safety, and innovation What you'll be doing Maintain and Repair MPV and modules in-line with Company Policies. Maintenance and custody of all documentation. Carry out fault finding and subsequent repair of mechanical and electrical systems. Carry out as required verbal and written reports on faults, repairs, maintenance, accidents and incidents. As part of a team develop initiatives to improve the quality, productivity, reliability and availability of MPV’s and Modules. Training and Professional Development as required. Any other Duties as directed by your Line Management. Who we're looking for Essential NVQ level 3 or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar in a relevant field. Undertake road vehicle driving as required. Ability to work to Maintenance programme timescales/deadlines. Must meet and maintain the appropriate medical standard for the position. Desirable Personal Track Safety certification. Successfully completed Dual Trade skills competency assessment for Mechanical / Electrical systems. Knowledge of and experience in the Rail industry.
