Full‑time Emergency Medicine Consultant

The opportunity is to join the existing team of 14 full‑time consultants and support a busy Emergency Department that sees approximately 90‑100,000 patients annually.

* Provide independent clinical leadership within the Emergency Department.
* Lead and support Acute Care teams, including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine and allied specialities.
* Work calmly under pressure and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
* Participate in rapid response, STEM‑cardiac and resuscitation activities as required.
* Collaborate with colleagues across hospital sites and with external partners such as the PPCI centre.


Qualifications

* MB, ChB/MBBS and FRCEM qualified (or equivalent).
* Preferably on the GMC Specialist Register for Emergency Medicine or eligible to obtain it within 6 months.


Part‑time Locum Consultant in the Emergency Department

Applicants will join a team of 95 clinicians comprising 16 substantive consultants, a locum consultant, associate specialists, middle‑grade doctors, junior doctors, advanced clinical practitioners and emergency nurse practitioners.

* Work independently and as part of a team in a high‑volume Emergency Department.
* Deliver clinical care under pressure with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
* Assist in teaching and mentoring junior staff.


Qualifications

* MB, ChB/MBBS and FRCEM qualified (or equivalent).
* Eligible for the GMC Specialist Register for Emergency Medicine within 6 months.
* Experience in acute or emergency care settings is desirable.
