On behalf of my client, a leading manufacturing business based in Greater Manchester, I am pleased to present an opportunity for a Management Accountant to work on a long-term contract basis.
This role is offered on an 18-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, based in Heywood, OL11.
The role involves completing and communicating the company's financial reporting requirements, including statutory, internal, and corporate reporting, covering accounting, tax, and general management information.
You will be responsible for:
* Producing monthly management accounts and management reports
* Analyzing and reporting stock levels by program
* Monitoring the company's stock provisions to ensure carrying stock value aligns with the lower of cost or net realizable value
* Group reporting, including monthly indicators and the HFM financial pack
* Reconciling IC balances and transactions as part of the HFM reporting process
* Analyzing third-party receipts by customer and monitoring against budget and forecast
* Producing required tax information for tax purposes
* Ensuring adherence to the control framework through monitoring evidence, conducting internal audit checks, and completing control checklists
* Coordinating quarterly and year-end audits
* Managing company insurances and providing information to insurers, including annual proposals
* Generating and maintaining work instructions and process notes across the finance function
* Preparing slides and information to support the FD as required
* Undertaking other related activities as requested by the Finance Director
You:
* Hold a CIMA Accounting Qualification (part-qualified candidates also considered)
* Possess good organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines
* Have advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills (experience required; qualification not necessary)
* Demonstrate effective telephone and email communication skills
* Have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work constructively within a team and support team members as needed
