WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We're looking for a commercially driven Senior Sales Manager who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on selling to drive revenue growth across our North American portfolio. If you're passionate about sustainability and thrive in a high-performance sales environment, we want to hear from you.
THE ROLE:
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth across the North American portfolio through exhibition stand and sponsorship sales. This role combines strategic sales leadership with hands-on selling responsibilities. You will lead by example, manage key client relationships, mentor team members, and contribute to the development and execution of sales strategies to ensure targets are achieved and exceeded.
What you'll be doing:
Sales Leadership & Strategy
* Support the Head of TGE in executing the overall sales strategy
* Identify growth opportunities, new markets, and revenue streams
* Monitor competitor and market activity to inform sales planning
Revenue Generation
* Deliver and exceed personal sales targets (stands & sponsorship)
* Manage high-value/key accounts and strategic partnerships
* Drive exhibitor acquisition and retention
* Maximise sponsorship and upsell opportunities
* Develop tailored proposals for major clients
Performance Management
* Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM data
* Monitor sales performance against targets
* Identify risks and implement corrective actions
* Ensure adherence to company sales processes
Client Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with exhibitors and sponsors
* Act as trusted advisor to key accounts
* Deliver exceptional client service throughout the sales cycle
Market Development
* Attend competitor and industry events for prospecting
* Develop a systematic understanding of the renewable energy sector
* Identify key new business prospects
General Responsibilities
* Respond to inbound enquiries professionally and promptly
* Prepare proposals and contracts to a high standard
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery
ABOUT YOU:
We're looking for someone with:
* Proven B2B sales experience (events industry highly desirable)
* Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
* Experience managing high-value accounts and strategic partnerships
* Sales strategy and revenue planning capability
* Advanced pipeline and CRM management skills
* Excellent negotiation and closing skills
* Leadership, mentoring, or team support experience
* Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
* Outstanding presentation and proposal writing skills
* Professional credibility and client-facing confidence
* Passion for sustainability and the low-carbon energy transition
