Overview
A well-established law firm in Wakefield is looking to recruit a Legal Secretary to join its small, friendly office. This is a fully office-based role and would suit someone who is organised, reliable, and able to provide strong secretarial support in a busy legal environment. Ideally, you will have some Family Law experience, although candidates with solid legal secretarial experience in other areas of law may also be considered.
Responsibilities
* Providing secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
* Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
* Liaising with clients in a professional and sensitive manner
* Managing diaries, appointments, and meetings
* Preparing files and legal documentation
* Handling telephone calls, emails, and general office administration
* Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the department
Requirements / Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary
* Ideally some experience within Family Law
* Excellent audio typing and document production skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* A professional, empathetic, and client-focused approach
* The ability to work well within a small office team
